What a beautiful family the Banmans are! When booking a West Texas session in the middle of November, you never know what kind of weather you’re going to get. It had been beautiful the last few days before their photoshoot, and then all of the sudden an arctic blast passed through Lubbock right as our shoot began! I’m always a little nervous about less-than-perfect weather when kids are involved, but these children were a dream come true for the entire session! They were shivering cold, but rocked these photos like professionals and made their momma proud! (And their photographer.) One of my favorite things about family sessions is pulling the parents out for a few photos by themselves. Many of them haven’t had professional photos taken of just the two of them since their wedding day! I love seeing our clients faces light up when we tell them we are finished with all of the traditional groupings and want just a few shots of them alone. They are always so appreciative! Those joyful and romantic images of David and Susie in front of the pine trees give me all the feels and really get me in the Christmas spirit!
